What do you think about having a Christian Film Festival for Canberra?
'Ignite' is the Christian Film Festival in Sydney and I think starting up in Melbourne. We don't have one for Canberra. My thinking is that instead of having one night where films are screened at the one place, in Canberra we allow individual churches to screen films on a night that suits over a month. This way congregations can invite their not yet Christian friends along to see the films. The outreach will depend on individual churches.

Short Films: Just one fun way to spread the gospel
St Matt's used to have a fireworks night on the Saturday of the long weekend in June. This stopped a few years ago when it became too complicated to put on and now that fireworks are banned it has made the night impossible.
The fireworks night was good because it was open to anyone and it was just a good time at church having warm food like soup on a cold winter evening. However, films have the potential to be better. There was no message in fireworks. Short films about Jesus and in 2011, 'Jesus & Water' will give people a Christian message in we hope entertaining, non-confronting ways.
There are two things to do: Be involved in a 5 minute film - we need at least 10 of these and bring your friends along on the night from 6:30pm, Saturday 11 June 11 (Just remember 11 6 11).
